...at blogging.
..things like inconsistency and wanting to see more pictures of the grandkids and
using iphone pictures I've already posted to instagram and no fashion tip Fridays.....yada, yada. ;)
These were things said.
So here's my attempt at getting better. and here you will see me being more consistent.
and more pictures from my "real" camera.
Here we go. :)
~~~~~~~~~
We (my family) sell vegetables and corn at Farmer's markets all summer long.
Sometimes it's just corn, sometimes just vegetables, sometimes both. I'm just corn for now.
Rain or shine we have to be there.
Because even in pouring, soaking,
run for the Ark kind of rain, dedicated customers come to buy our corn.
They are thankful we are there...and I am thankful they come under umbrellas just to see us. :)
Some of our markets are in parking lots, some on a street and
sometimes one can be in a pretty old area downtown along the river.
This is where I spend Friday evenings. along the river. Alex comes with me each week.
He is a hard worker and lifts all the heavy crates and tents his mom can't lift on her own. ;)
Moving on...I love to bake. I bake {almost} daily.
However, I am horrible with a rolling pin. No matter how fabulous I can bake cookies, breads, cakes...I will never ever, ever ever, never ever be a good pie crust maker.
and this too is okay. I've accepted it.
{See! I didn't even weave the crust together the right way!
..it tasted good though, I guess that counts for something}
This is the book trailer.
It's a great book, I want to sit all day and read it, but I have to go sell corn instead.
You may find me blogging about only 7 foods I'm eating, or 7 articles of clothing I'm wearing...
we'll see how convicted I am by the time I get to the last page. ;)
See you soon. Because I'm working on being a more consistent blogger. ;)
and I know today is Friday, and I know I should have a fashion tip...but I don't.
Here's to a wonderful, wonderful weekend.
XxOo
Now I want pie. And corn. And a fashion tip!
ReplyDeleteAwww, I'm just happy to see you here, anytime in any form! :) I can't even imagine how busy it makes you when you have a family AND are working at the market each week! Wowsers. I hope today is a good day for you, and when life slows down, I can't wait to hear more of your blogging and fashion tip fridays! :)
Oh my goodness, you have me intrigued on that book. Have you seen or read of the Project 333? You may enjoy that site.
ReplyDeleteI'll look forward to future thoughts on the "7" book. Hmmm....Interesting! Sounds good.
Pretty pie. : ) I don't see a thing wrong with it at all...very pretty.
Look forward to your next blog... Take care now. xxxooo ~Amelia
LOVE Jen Hatmaker!!
ReplyDeleteI ALWAYS enjoy your posts! The rain actually looks refreshing, but I am sure market day in the rain is not so fun. We have had a very dismal summer, but today is sunny! Your pie is lovely! I need to be better about baking, especially the gluten free stuff for David. Those red sandals will do for Friday :-) so cute.
ReplyDeleteYou make me smile dah-ling! : )
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your posts, too, but I can understand the complaints. LOL
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to use my big camera again, too. It's gotten waaaay too easy to whip out the phone.
BTW, you mentioned instagram in a comment on my site. I would love to join, but have held back, not wanting another pull toward screen time.
Liz, I am having trouble keeping up with regular blog posts myself. Something about the summer just threw me off...hopefully, with school starting, I can be more regular. Sometimes it's fun and sometimes it's a chore. I get it.--Rhonda
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog! I'm thumbing through some of your old posts and found this one.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of the book you mentioned and have added it to my wish list. It looks like it's right up my alley. The idea of living with less has intrigued me for about a year now. Now, we are facing a move to a smaller house in the near future and putting our house on the market, so I guess we'll see how serious I really am about downsizing and simplifying. :)
Your pie looks perfect to me, and so does the photo.
