While everyone is "Back to School"....

We will be...
making forts. swimming. sleeping in tents. working in the garden.
eating ice cream cones. taking bike rides. swinging on our swings....
...and all the other summer stuff we've been doing since June.

We are taking in all of summer...making it last as long as we can.

I love homeschooling. I love making our own schedule.
I love starting school in September...it feels better.

I am blessed to be able to do it.
Homeschooling our kids is a commitment Jeff and I made a long time ago.
I am thankful we did and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Happy last days of summer....enjoy them while they last.

  2. I would LOVE for you to do an informative post on homeschooling!!! What type of schedule and what material has worked well for you. I love the idea of homeschooling, but also feel pretty apprehensive about it considering that my days w/out it can already feel overwhelming!

    1. I would LOVE to do a post on homeschooling...I never really write about it because I always think that everyone already knows so much about it. I love talking about it though, so I'll write about our schooling in the next couple weeks. :)

  3. I agree with parlasoni... I would be interested to hear your take on it as well :) I think most of the homeschoolers I know fit a particular stereotype about them but you and your family break that. If you write something on it I'd love to read it!

  4. Perfect. I want to be your kid (ha,even though you could be mine). Since our hottest months are July-Sept, that is best summer anyways. Once the older ones went to college though, David and I had to revamp. When they got home in May he didn't want to keep on with school. Isn't it great to make your own schedule?!
Oh, and Frankie, I am still in love. What cute stuff!
