I have the best neighbor, I really do. Love her!
But there was this one afternoon I didn't like her too much.It was the afternoon I squeezed 19 pounds of grapes into juice. ;)
She suggested making grape jelly.
It sounded like fun, and honestly (besides the messy juicing part ;) it was.
We picked, we juiced, we boiled, we jellied....and our kitchens smelled like grape bubble gum.
Since then, we learned of this fantastic little machine that juices grapes for you...
I'm thinking this would be a grand investment for next year.
Have a good day.

looks SO good!! and wow, great job! now teach me. :)
ReplyDeleteYummy! You are so industrious with food! The only thing I ever canned was tomatoes and that was years ago.
ReplyDeleteoooh, I LOVE grape jam! Homemade, grape jam, that is. :) We had concord grape vines growing up at home, and my mom always canned her own juice and jam. It is a MESS to do, but I just love the homemade flavors of both so very much! So neat you do that with your friend. :)
ReplyDeleteLots of work but great smelling kitchen and yummy jelly! Good job!
ReplyDeleteDid you leave the skins in the jam? I did (I used wild grapes, though) and it still tasted great. Saves some work.
